DJ D - Female Turntablism at it's finest!
With a DJ career spanning over a decade and a skill set on the wheels of steel that could rival a big gun male DJs in the scene, DJ D is maintaining her hold as Australia's premiere female R&B hip-hop turntablist, with not only her killer skill on the decks but a track selection that has garnered her worldwide respect.

Having performed at a number of clubs locally, nationally and internationally, D's style is always effortless. Unfazed by her surroungings and completely at home on stage, she cuts up beats and wows the crowds whether it be as support at concerts for Montell Jordan or Naughty by Nature, or as the only female DJ competitor in the 2005 Technics DMC Championships, where she was ranked number 8.

When D steps begind the decks, you can feel the anticipation from the crowd rise. They know they are about to experience a DJ set no only brimming with the hottest tracks, but as D likes to keep the crowd guessing and wanting more, you will always hear her spin in tracks from back in the day, just to keep the crowd on their toes.

Not satisfied with only being a turntablist, D is also a vocalist, producer, sound engineer, tertiary TAFE teacher/workplace trainer and had run her own business in web and graphic design since the age of 16. DJ D is a testament to the power, passion and drive that a woman in the Austrlaian hip-hop scene needs to possess.
